Established in 2012, Nisou Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned, 8(a), total small business, began work as a general contractor specializing in the performance of new construction, facility renovation and repair. Nisou typically self-performs at least 15% of the construction project value excluding materials. Nisou has self performance capabilities in demolition, exterior renovation, and site excavation, minor concrete work and installing signage. Additionally, we take on the role of overall project manager, covering estimation, scheduling, purchasing, cost control, on-site supervision, safety, quality control to drive successful quality, cost and schedule results on every project we undertake. 

The Nisou team provides stream-lined processes and procedures throughout the project life cycle. Ongoing and effective communication along with construction industry contacts, give Nisou the ability to attract skilled, qualified resources for each project. In combination with our firm’s experience with Federal Government clients as prime and performance as a subcontractor on projects of various scope and size, Nisou can deliver highly responsive and top-quality construction services.

Niharika Shastri- President and CEO

Niharika Shastri has helmed Nisou Enterprises from its conception in 2012. She was born in India and raised in the suburbs of Detroit. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Communications from the University of Michigan and was accepted into the 8(a) program in 2016. Niharika provides leadership, marketing and business development for the company. She is responsible for determining which projects to pursue, contract administration, payroll, employee benefits and general administration.
